Summary of NECROEXPO 2024: Record Attendance and Exceptional Products

From June 7–9, the X edition of the International Funeral and Cemetery Trade Fair, NECROEXPO, was held at the Kielce Trade Fairs. This prestigious event attracted over 120 companies from five countries, establishing itself as the central hub of the funeral industry.

Ceremonial Opening

The event was officially opened by the Mayor of Kielce, Agata Wojda. In her speech, she emphasized the importance of the funeral industry, which combines standard business practices with great sensitivity and respect for the delicate moments of human life. “This industry also arouses enormous curiosity about the behind-the-scenes aspects shrouded in a certain mystery,” the mayor added.

Record Attendance

This year’s edition of NECROEXPO recorded record attendance, with 127 companies participating from five countries: Poland, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, and Hungary. “The participation of so many companies is evidence of the growing international significance of this fair,” said Andrzej Mochoń, president of the Kielce Trade Fairs.

Attractions and Events at the Fair

The event’s schedule featured numerous attractions, including timed grave-digging competitions, a fashion show for funeral home employees, a trade fair of used hearses, and demonstrations of modern coffins and urns. Each of these events captured the attention of both visitors and participants.

Exhibitors and Their Offerings

Companies showcased a wide range of products and services—from software for funeral homes, cremation ovens, and metal-plastic products to funeral accessories, coffins, urns, and autopsy room equipment. Innovations in the industry, such as eco-friendly coffins and advanced data management systems, garnered significant interest.

Awards and Accolades at the Funeral Fair

Among the many innovative products presented at the fair, our multidirectional stair wheels for stretchers received a medal for Best Product. This accolade highlights the innovation and functionality of our wheels, which, thanks to their durable construction, easy adjustment using wing screws, and adaptability to any stretcher model, facilitate the transport of heavy items up stairs. The multidirectional stair wheels are an excellent example of our commitment to delivering high-quality, functional, and reliable products. We at Prima-Tech S.C. are proud of this recognition and thank everyone who visited our booth.

Notable Figures at NECROEXPO 2024

The event was attended by many well-known personalities in the industry, including the blogger “Lady from the Funeral Home,” who shared her experiences on Instagram. In a discussion panel, Aneta Dobroch, the Master of Secular Funeral Ceremonies who is introducing new trends in funerals, participated. The fair was also visited by Małgorzata Węglarz, author of the book “Everything You Should Know Before You Die: Secrets of the Funeral Industry.”

Dawid Czernak from Calvarianum delivered a lecture titled “A Sustainable Future in the Funeral Industry: An Innovative Approach to the Production of Coffins and Urns,” emphasizing the importance of environmental protection. Patrycja Owczarzak from Piękna Ceremonia spoke about the small yet significant things that a ceremony master can do for the family of the deceased. Dr. Mariusz Strawiński led lectures on the protection of personal rights and the data of the deceased.
